I’m Mary Hennessy, founder of Dental Success Services, specializing in PPO fee negotiations, strategic credentialing, and dental practice management consulting to help dental practices improve reimbursements, strengthen insurance strategy, and support long-term growth.

A major part of my work centers on PPO fee schedule analysis and negotiation. PPO fees are not fixed, and accepting them at face value often leaves significant revenue on the table. I help practices evaluate their current contracts, identify underperforming plans, and negotiate better reimbursements using real production data, market positioning, and payer behavior without increasing patient volume or production.

I also specialize in provider credentialing and PPO contract strategy, helping dentists choose the right PPO contracts from the start or reorganize existing PPO participation to find the right combination of fees that align with their financial goals. Credentialing is more than enrollment paperwork. It is a strategic decision that impacts collections, patient flow, and leverage with insurance companies. My approach helps practices avoid restrictive or low-value contracts and build a sustainable, profitable insurance foundation.

In addition to insurance strategy, I’m the creator and instructor of A Day at the Front Desk. This live, hands-on class is taught personally by me and equips front office teams with clear, practical systems they can implement immediately. The training focuses on insurance verification, scheduling strategy, financial arrangements, patient communication, and accountability, all designed to improve collections and reduce front office breakdowns.

My recommendations are grounded in experience. I’ve spent 26 years in dentistry, beginning my career as a dental assistant and progressing through front office management, insurance and revenue cycle leadership, and practice operations. I’ve worked with single location practices, multi location groups, and privately owned DSOs, helping offices grow into high-performing, million-dollar practices by strengthening systems and improving insurance performance.

In addition to training and consulting, I provide remote dental billing support, PPO contract analysis, and customized advisory services tailored to each practice’s goals, location, and payer mix. I work closely with dentists and leadership teams to deliver clear strategies, measurable results, and long-term stability.

My mission is simple. To help dental practices get paid correctly, operate with confidence, and build sustainable growth so dentists can focus on patient care instead of insurance frustration.
